Our boarding system is one that we take great pride in here at EPBI. We have a system that took literally years to perfect and we feel it works like a well-oiled machine. We provide a clean and safe space for your bird to call home while you are away. Cages are cleaned daily, and all birds are fed and watered daily. We provide food here by Uccello Products Inc., but we do allow clients to bring in special foods they feed in individual bags that are rationed and sent to us labeled with daily allotment of food if that is preferred. In the cages we provide a toy, a swing and two perches. The perches are a mixture of dowel and Java perches for the bird’s comfort.

Clients are not permitted to bring in outside toys, as we cannot safeguard against germs and the safety of toys brought from outside the facility. We do discount the purchase of toys for visits and highly encourage buying your bird toys here during its stay to help provide more stimulation in your absence. These toys are returned to you at the end of your stay. Treats are also encouraged to be given during the stay, and also discounted during boarding.

Our boarding facility is a shared space. To safeguard the guests staying with us, any bird not from us is required to be tested for Psittacosis and PBFD prior to the stay. We strongly suggest planning ahead for testing, as it takes time and we make no exceptions to the rules on that.
Unfortunately we don’t allow people to visit the boarding room as it’s our duty here to ensure this shared space remains as sterile as possible and is considered a quarantined zone of our building. We don’t allow anyone unauthorized in this room as a continued show of commitment to our clients.

In an effort to have transparency with everyone. I’ve included some photos of the room and an example cage. It’s important to note that all large birds are housed as guests outside of the. Boarding room due to space and cage restrictions. Further, we house all our large birds in one zone to ensure against potential injury of smaller birds. The process by which we care for birds that are entrusted to us is something we take very seriously. We are honored to have been chosen by so many to board their birds in their absence. We consider our low-cost boarding to be a great resource for the community as you have some well-versed Aviculturists looking after your bird in your absence.
